Orientation & Settling
Orientation and settling into Karinya Montessori is often a smooth process.
Settling and enrolment process:

First visit, a tour of our centre with Kerri Steele our Approved Provider (Owner) and Educational Leader, we ask that whole family attends this tour, this way all your questions are answered and all family members understand how the Montessori Environment works.

Waiting Group, once you have completed a tour, you are asked to complete a expression of interest, dependent on the time and age of your child it may be a 6month wait for enrolment. Please email occasionally on info@karinyamontessori.com to confirm you are still interested in a position.

To obtain a position at Karinya Montessori we also ask that you attend as many parent nights or open days on offer, we will notify you of these via your email and or via our Facebook page.

The enrolment procedure:

Offer of a position, Once we have a position we will email you to confirm you would like to take the position.

Family orientation, this is a comprehensive orientation all the policy and procedures and everything you need to know. It takes around an hour we ask that your child and all primary caregivers attend this orientation, so you are aware of all aspects of enrolment. During this time your child will be free to choose and to do activities with their educators and new friends.

Parent values and settling sheets, your child’s lead educator will complete this with you, during orientation.

Enrolment pack, with enrolment form, handbook, information about childcare subsidy and the Karinya Montessori Calendar of events.

2 free one-hour visits, These support your child to get to know the environment and teachers and start to feel comfortable and safe. These visits are very important as they are your child’s first steps into our environment, it is exciting, please be excited with your child.
